Banana Pumpkin Smoothie

This delicious smoothie is perfect as a meal on-the-go for your little Sili Squeezer.  The banana is a good source of potassium, fiber and vitamins C & B while the pumpkin adds a punch of anti-oxidants.  The creamy, sweet texture and flavors of fall are perfect for keeping your children interested and happy with meal time.

Banana Pumpkin Smoothie

fills one 6 oz. Sili Squeeze

 

1/2 banana

1/4 c. pumpkin puree (fresh or frozen, make sure you don’t buy pumpkin-pie filling!  Sugar Pie pumpkins should be readily available this time of year – simply halve the pumpkin and bake in a 350 degree oven until fork tender.)

1/4 c. plain or vanilla hemp milk (or milk of your preference)

 

Puree all ingredients in the blender, adding the milk last and as needed (don’t add too much/a little more might be necessary). This treat is best warm or room temperature, not chilled.
